Costa Rica Horizon: Reservation & Cancellation Terms
Welcome to Costa Rica Horizon! We’re excited to help you plan your trip. Please read these terms and conditions carefully before making a reservation.
Authorization: By making a reservation, you authorize Costa Rica Horizon Enterprises (“Costa Rica Horizon”) to charge your credit card according to the terms below. Charges will appear on your statement as “Costa Rica Horizon”.
Reservations:
- All reservations must be made online at https://www.costaricahorizon.com/ sending us a Quote request or via email at reservations@costaricahorizon.com.
- Payment is required at the time of booking.
- You are responsible for verifying the accuracy of all details and dates before confirming your reservation.
Cancellation Terms:
- Private Transfers & Shuttles:
- Cancellations must be emailed to reservations@costaricahorizon.com at least 48 hours before your service for a full refund, excluding a 5% credit card fee.
- During the “HOLIDAY SEASON” (December 5th – January 4th), cancellations must be made at least 72 hours in advance for a full refund, excluding a 5% credit card fee.
- Changes to your reservation must be emailed at least 24 hours in advance, subject to availability.
- A 5% credit card fee applies to any changes requiring a refund.
- No-shows are considered cancellations and are non-refundable.
- Private airport pick-ups will be rescheduled without charge if your flight is delayed within the same day.
- Failure to contact Costa Rica Horizon about flight cancellations or delays in a timely manner may result in reservation abandonment and forfeiture of your fare.
Modifications:
- We are happy to accommodate service modifications up to 24 hours before your service.
- Any fees, penalties, or time restrictions imposed by Costa Rica Horizon are those required by applicable service providers.
- Last-minute modification requests (24-48 hours before service) must be emailed to reservations@costaricahorizon.com.
- Modifications are subject to availability and may require new payment arrangements if there is a price increase.
Liability:
- Costa Rica Horizon is not responsible for delays caused by accidents, civil disturbances, medical emergencies, mechanical malfunctions, highway damage, extreme weather, or acts of God.
- We are not responsible for direct or indirect consequences of our performance, including but not limited to missed flights, meetings, or events, and loss of lodging reservations due to late arrival.
- Costa Rica Horizon offers a 100% money-back guarantee if we fail to provide the service you paid for, subject to our limits of liability.
Travel Insurance:
- We strongly advise purchasing travel insurance, especially a “cancel for any reason” plan, to mitigate potential issues.
Assumption of Risk & Indemnity:
- Costa Rica Horizon acts as an agent selling travel-related services and booking them in some instances.
- We strive to work with the best service providers, but we are not liable for any acts or omissions by these providers, including damages, losses, or injuries to you or other travelers.
- You acknowledge that Costa Rica Horizon has performed reasonable due diligence in connecting you with third-party service providers that meet your preferences. However, the ultimate decision to select specific services and engage providers is solely yours, based on your own investigation.
- The activities involved in your requested services may be dangerous, unfamiliar, or involve risks associated with traveling abroad.
- You are solely responsible for your well-being, belongings, and possessions. You engage in all requested services and related activities at your own risk.
- Costa Rica Horizon is not liable for any damages, losses, or injuries caused by your travels, the services of third-party providers, or events outside our control.
- We are not responsible for any disclaimers or liability related to services provided on our website.
Booking Through the Platform:
- By booking services through Costa Rica Horizon, you agree to the terms and conditions of Costa Rica Horizon, suppliers, and third-party suppliers in Costa Rica.
- You acknowledge that we resell tickets and services and are not the operator of any services in Costa Rica outside our own fleet vehicles.
- We are not liable for any services provided by suppliers, except for our obligation to reserve the services and transfer payment.
- Upon payment, your obligation to suppliers is fulfilled, and Costa Rica Horizon will remit the payment to them.
- We process payments through a third-party payment service provider.
Reservation Abandonment:
Reservation abandonment occurs when Costa Rica Horizon or its suppliers cannot locate you at the designated pick-up location and cannot reach you for further instructions within a reasonable time.
Services:
Costa Rica Horizon (Costa Rica Horizon Enterprises) provides transportation and other services. In some cases, services may be provided by our suppliers, partners, or third-party service providers.
Payments:
- All amounts are in USD currency.
- Payment is required at the time of booking to secure your reservation.
- All charges are processed at the time of booking and are refundable according to our cancellation policy.
Short Notice Reservations:
- Short notice reservations are made less than 24 hours before the requested service.
- We cannot guarantee service availability for short-notice reservations.
- Please call +1 (757) 994-1151 for availability during business hours.
- Short notice reservations are only accepted during business hours.
- No refunds are available for reservations made less than 48 hours in advance.
Luggage:
- The total amount of luggage allowed depends on the vehicle selected.
- Please specify any extra luggage during the booking process.
- Failure to do so may result in additional fees, the need for an additional vehicle, or the inability to fulfill your reservation.
Smoking:
- Smoking is strictly prohibited in all our vehicles.
User Error:
- You are responsible for providing accurate information during the booking process.
- Costa Rica Horizon is not responsible for any errors made by you while using our services, websites, or mobile applications.
Activities:
- Cancellation: For a full refund (excluding credit card fees of 5%), cancellation requests must be emailed to reservations@costaricahorizon.com at least 72 hours before your reservation.
- Changes: Any changes to your reservation must be emailed to reservations@costaricahorizon.com at least 48 hours before your service.
- Cancellation by Costa Rica Horizon: If we need to cancel a tour, we may offer you an alternative tour of the same value or provide a full refund.
- No-Shows: No-shows for any purchased services are considered cancellations and are non-refundable.
- Unused Portions: Once travel commences, no refunds will be provided for unused portions.
Agreement:
By booking with Costa Rica Horizon, you agree to the above terms and conditions in their entirety. You agree to pay the total amount for the requested services and understand that you are responsible for all applicable fees and penalties charged by individual service providers in the event of a cancellation or service modification.
